JEE Main 2018 Registrations has started today from 11:30 am ( 1 December 2017 ). Candidates who are appearing for Class XII BOARD examinations in 2018 are eligible along with those who have appeared on or after 2016 examinations. JEE Main is one of the toughest and the most sought after examinations in India. JEE Main 2018 is also the first stage examination for entry to the prestigious IITs of the country. Interested and eligible candidates should visit the official site of JEE Main [‘Click here to visit’] and click on ‘Apply for JEE(Main)-2018’. After that they need to register for the examination by following the three step process.

Filling of Application Form
Here the candidates is required to fill his/her ‘ Nationality, State of Eligibility, State Identification Type ( preferably aadhaar), Candidates Name, Date Of Birth, Gender, Security Pin ( system generated ) and Consent of Aadhaar Number Authentication ( Click on I Agree ). Under Exam Related Details the candidate is required to choose the exam/exams he/she is interested in i.e either JEE Main Paper 1 ( for B.E/B.Tech ) or JEE Main Paper 2 ( for B.Arch/B.Planning ). The candidate can also choose both the papers. The next step is to choose the mode of examination for both the papers ( i.e pen and paper based or computer based ) followed by Exam Centre choice ( 4 choices for Pen Paper Mode , 1 Choice for Computer Mode ) followed by Question paper medium ( Hindi / English ). Similarly the candidate is required to fill Personal Details, Academic Details, Mailing Address Details, Guardian Details, Password Selection, Security Pin ( System Generated ) & Mobile number/ E-mail verification.
Uploading Scanned Images
Here the candidate is required to upload scanned images of his/her latest Photograph, Signatures and left hand thumb impression. All of the above three criterion should be latest in order to avoid confusions during examination day.
Examination Fee Payment
After completion of the above two steps the candidate needs to pay the examination fee for JEE Main 2018 in accordance to his/her Paper and Mode of Examination choice. Individually it is ₹1000 for any paper in pen and paper mode and ₹500 for computer based mode, whereas both paper fees stand at ₹1800 for pen and paper and ₹1300 for paper 1 being in computer based mode.
Although Class XII marks will not be considered for calculating JEE Main 2018 rank however the candidates belonging to Gen/OBC category must score a minimum of 75 % marks and for SC/ST students 65% marks in Class XII examinations to qualify for admission to IITs, NITs and other CFTIs.
